Healing Help branding
For this project, I designed a social media campaign for an imaginary
brand dedicated to a social issue. Because this was in the middle of the
pandemic, I created a brand called Healing Help that centered around
mental health in quarantine.

I wanted the brand to mainly feel uplifting, calming, and hopeful with
an emphasis on digital illustrations. I chose a color palette of
mainly pastels to bring in the calming feeling, and then
added a pop of bright orange to bring in some
warmth and fun. The logo I wanted to embody
hope, and ultimately I decided on a simple
graphic of the sun breaking through a cloud.

Through research, I found that social media campaigns are most effective if the person viewing the campaign feels that the brand is genuine. Because of this, one thing I really focused on was making my brand feel authentic and personal, so I decided to use my own experiences to shape the brand. My illustrations are based on some problems I found myself facing over quarantine; isolation effecting creativity and inspiration, struggling with lack of motivation from the move to online courses, and inability to travel or experience nature like I used to. I also chose a handwritten typeface because I wanted my social media posts to be reminiscent of someone writing in a journal.
